“I’m a Nationally Certified Therapist of Massage and Bodywork. I graduated from Blue Sky School of Professional Massage where I studied in the therapeutic/energy track of the curriculum. Prior to attending Blue Sky, I worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. It was here that I truly realized how the simple touch of a calm hand with the intention to soothe can alleviate even the most extreme cases of tension and anxiety. I have completed training in Reflexology, Cranial Sacral, Precision Neuromuscular Therapy, Acupressure and Reiki. to name a few. Since graduation, I have attended massage related seminars as an assistant teacher, because I love to educate others about massage as much a I love to learn about it. When a client comes to see me, I don’t just try to make a difference in their day, I strive to make a difference in their life.”

How to receive a massage
It’s not uncommon to feel uneasy or shy about receiving your first massage. The following guide lines will help put you at ease. Once you’ve experienced your first massage we feel confident that you will not hesitate to schedule another one.

  1. Try to arrive 10 min early so that you can slow down a few min before your massage.
  2. Undress completely, wear just a robe to your massage. You will be able to take your robe off and cover yourself in privacy. You will be draped with a sheet and large towel throughout the service, you will always be covered.
  3. Communicate with your therapist, tell her which areas you would like to focus on and any areas to be avoided. Communication is the key to getting the massage you want. During your massage let the therapist know if you feel any discomfort. Tell your therapist if you want conversation or quiet, or some of both. They are here to make your service the best possible.
  4. During your session close your eyes and allow yourself to relax as completely as possible. Focus your attention on breathing slowly, deeply. Be limp like a rag doll. Do not try to help your therapist move your limbs into position. Let your therapist do the work unless  assistance is requested
